Collaborators

The Worcester NEP office offers nutrition education programs for adults and youth in the greater Worcester area. Paraprofessional and professional staff collaborate with Head Start pre-school programs, Worcester public schools, career training programs, family shelters, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and pregnant and parenting teen programs to design, develop and teach nutrition lessons to participants at these collaborating agencies. Classroom lessons are tailored to various grade levels and meet multiple Massachusetts Curriculum Standards. Nutrition Education activities also include classroom lessons, single-session workshops, lesson series, educational displays and a variety of printable, take-home nutrition information and healthy recipes, many of which are also available in Spanish.
