The Fall River NEP office offers a variety of adult and youth programs for the greater New Bedford, Fall River and Taunton areas. Professional staff and trained nutrition educators collaborate with community agencies, public schools, and after-school and vacation summer programs to provide nutrition education opportunities for adults and youth, families, and agency staff. Activities include classroom lessons, single-session workshops, health fairs, and Parent Nutrition Night classes. Classroom lessons are tailored to various grade levels and meet multiple Massachusetts Curriculum Standards. Nutrition education activities also include a variety of printable, take-home nutrition information sheets and healthy recipes, many of which are also available in Spanish.
