Brockton Office
Collaborators
The Brockton NEP office offers nutrition education programs for youth, adults and families in the Greater Brockton area including parts of Plymouth and Norfolk counties. Paraprofessional and professional staff collaborate with the Brockton public schools, Head Start pre-school programs, after-school programs, career training programs and shelters, to design, develop and teach nutrition lessons to children, their teachers and parents. Activities include in-classroom lessons, Family Health Nights, single-session workshops, lesson series, and educational displays. Classroom lessons are tailored to various grade levels and meet multiple Massachusetts Curriculum Standards. Nutrition education activities also include a variety of printable, take-home nutrition information and healthy recipes, many of which are also available in Spanish.
