Misdiagnosed or incompletely understood tree and shrub problems can waste valuable time and money. Landscape trees and shrubs develop problems for a variety of reasons. UMass Extension's Plant Diagnostic Lab has experience in identifying the causes of discolored leaves, early leaf loss, death of branches, and other damage that disrupts plant growth. The causes of these symptoms include cultural and environmental factors as well as disease and insects. In addition to diagnosing the problem, we'll suggest what to do to correct the trouble or reduce future damage from it.
